S’Mores Rice Krispy Treats
Ingredients
- 4 Cups Golden Grahams 180g
- 3 Cups Coco Pebbles 200g
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 8 tablespoons 1 stick of unsalted butter
- 13 ounces of marshmallows for melting
- 3 ounces of marshmallows to stir in at the end
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 Cup of Rice Krispy treats approximately 30 grams
- 4 cups of Golden Grahams approximately 180 grams
- 3 cups of Coco Pebbles approximately 200 grams
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
Instructions
Prepare the Pan:
- Line a baking pan (8×8 inches) with parchment paper or lightly grease it for easy removal of the treats later.
Melt the Butter and Marshmallows:
- In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the 13 ounces of marshmallows to the melted butter and stir until completely melted.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
Combine Cereals:
- In a large bowl, mix the Rice Krispy treats, Golden Grahams, and Coco Pebbles together.
Quality Control Taste Test:
- Before combining with the melted marshmallow mixture, do a taste test of the cereal mix to ensure it meets your desired flavor.
Combine Cereal with Marshmallow Mixture:
- Pour the cereal mix into the pot with the melted marshmallow mixture.
- Stir until the cereal is evenly coated with the marshmallow mixture.
- Add the remaining 3 ounces of marshmallows and continue stirring until they are evenly distributed.
Transfer to the Pan:
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
Press Evenly:
- To avoid crushing the treats, press them evenly into the pan using a buttered wrapper or spatula. Do not press too hard.
Quality Check:
- Perform a final taste test to ensure the treats have the desired flavor.
Cool Before Cutting:
- Allow the treats to cool completely in the pan before cutting them into squares or desired shapes.
