Fruity Pebble Krispy Treats

Ingredients
  

  • 5 tablespoons 71g of butter
  • 4.5 cups 120g of Rice Krispy Cereal
  • 3 cups 100g of Fruity Pebble Cereal
  • 16 oz bag of marshmallows
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt

Instructions
 

Prepare the Pan:

  • Grease and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal of the treats later.

Melt Butter and Marshmallows:

  • In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add the marshmallows (keeping aside 2 cups for later) and stir until completely melted.

Remove from Heat:

  • Once the marshmallows are fully melted, remove the pot from heat.

Add Salt and Cereals:

  • Stir in the salt and both the Rice Krispy and Fruity Pebble cereals. Mix until well combined.

Add Remaining Marshmallows:

  • Add the remaining 2 cups of marshmallows to the mixture and stir until evenly distributed.

Press into Pan:

  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and press it down evenly using a buttered wrapper or spatula.

Cool and Cut:

  • Allow the treats to cool completely in the pan before cutting them into bars. To create neat bars, cut into 2” x 2.6” pieces.
