Philly Slider Casserole Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 12 slider buns
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 lb thinly sliced steak
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 8 Slices provolone cheese
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 large green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Cut the slider buns in half and place the bottom halves in the baking dish. Brush them with melted butter.
  3. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the thinly sliced steak until browned on both sides. Add the sliced onions and green bell pepper, and cook until the vegetables are tender.
  4. In a separate saucepan, melt 2 tbsp of butter over medium heat. Add the flour and whisk until smooth. Gradually add the water, whisking constantly, until the mixture is thickened and bubbly. Add the garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Pour the mixture into the skillet with the cooked steak and vegetables, and stir to combine.
  5. Spread the steak and vegetable mixture over the slider buns in the baking dish. Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top.
  6. Place the top halves of the slider buns on top of the cheese. Brush with melted butter.
  7. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, until the buns are golden brown and crispy.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious Philly Slider Casserole!
